New Year, new you?
I keep hearing about resolutions and plans for improvement in the New Year. The question that comes to mind is why do we think we have to become a new person every year? What’s wrong with who we were in 2008? I’m all for self improvement, but it’s ridiculous to think that making a few resolutions is going to change your life. Get serious. Instead of making impossible resolutions that will end up making me feel like a failure, I’ve decided to make a to-do list for 2009. Here it is…
Try different kinds of white wine, and give red wine a second chance.
Share a delicious meal with a close friend at LEAST once a week. Nothing beats good food companied with great conversation.
Dance…whenever I feel like it.
Sing in the car…..more often.
Read at least two books every month.
Learn to cook a few new dishes
Kiss. Hug. Love. Whenever the mood strikes.
Accept the things I can’t change.
Share music.
In my head…
Kate Nash: We get on
Coldplay: Green Eyes
The Smiths: Ask
Ben Folds: Cologne **Caution: This song WILL break your heart**
